Inspired by the centuries old Krampus, created as a counterpart to kindly old Santa Clause. Half goat, half demon he punishes misbehaving children. Whilst St Nicholas rewards nice children by leaving presents, Krampus beats those who are naughty with branches and sticks. In some cases he is said to eat them, or take them to hell!
He’s been made from paper-mache pulp and foam clay to sculpt his features. His horns have been wrapped in lace with pearl details, and my favourite part are his little jingling bells that fall from each horn. Not one “HO HO HO!” to be heard around here, just the nightmarish gentle jinglings of something creeping ever closer to beat away any Christmas cheer!
